150) The Blue Nile Falls, BahrDar

 شلالات النهر الأزرق، بحردار

I saw one of the Portuguese bridges that was built a few centuries ago, also a spot where the Italians stayed for a while during the time of the occupation of Ethiopia.  There are also about three nearby Churches around the area..  When I saw the river water, its color was pale brown..  That was the same color I saw at the lake from the plane, I guess it was Lake Tana.  I asked him for the reason, he told me that the rain water when it falls down, it takes parts of the soil, that’s why it has this color all year long..  But by the beginning of October for about three months, the color is closer to white..  This spot is part of the Nile water that we get in Egypt..  There are many beautiful birds in the area, and the nature there is inspiring..

رأيت أحد الكباري (الجسور) التي قام بعملها البرتغاليون منذ بضعة قرون، وأيضاً مكاناً أقام فيه الإيطاليون فترة من الزمن عندما قاموا باحتلال إثيوبيا.  ويوجد أيضاً حوالي ثلاثة كنائس قريبة من المنطقة..  وعندما رأيت مياه النهر، كان لونها بنياً فاتحاً..  وكان هذا نفس اللون الذي رأيته في البحيرة الكبيرة من الطائرة، وربما كانت جزء من بحيرة تانا.  وسألته عن السبب فأخبرني أنه بسبب أن الأمطار تأتي وتأخذ من التربة، لهذا يكون اللون هكذا طوال العام..  ولكن مع بداية شهر أكتوبر ولمدة حوالي ثلاثة أشهر يميل اللون إلى اللون الأبيض..  هذا هو جزء من بداية المياه التي تأتينا في مصر..  يوجد العديد من الطيور الجميلة بالمنطقة، والطبيعة حول هذا المكان مُلهِمة..
