270) Five hours walking!!

 خمسة ساعات سيراً على الأقدام!!

Sunset started..  There were no signs showing anything..  I asked others later, they pointed to a place further to the back..  I found myself as if I was going back near the mountain..  Or maybe it was another one..  Finally I saw a car at the horizon..  I reached that horizon after walking 90 minutes more!!!  I left the Monastery at 2.00, and arrived to that spot at 7.00 p.m.!!!  Two and half hours going, and five hours walking back..  I didn’t know what was the point of all that..  But I thanked God that I finally arrived to the road..  The sun was already down, and the darkness started to eat the light, till it was total darkness..  And I was waiting on the pavement for any car..  Every 15 minutes a car passed by, could be private, a truck or anything..  There were no light coming from any area around, and those streets were of course without any illumination pillars..

بدأت الشمس في المغيب..  ولا يوجد أي علامة توحي بأي شيء..  وسألت آخرين بعد ذلك، فأشاروا لما بعد ذلك المكان..  ووجدت نفسي وكأنني أسير للوراء متوجهاً ناحية الجبل..  أو ربما يكون جبلاً آخراً..  وأخيراً رأيت عربة في الأفق تسير في خطاً ما..  ووصلت إلى ذلك الأفق بعد أكثر من ساعة ونصف أخرى من السير!!!  تركت الدير في الثانية، ووصلت إلى ذلك المكان في السابعة مساءً!!!  ساعتين ونصف ذهاب، وخمسة ساعات عودة سيراً على الأقدام..  لم أعرف ما الهدف من هذا الأمر..  ولكنني شكرت الله على الوصول إلى الطريق أخيراً..  وكانت الشمس قد غابت، وبدأ الظلام في الحلول، وسرعان ما أظلمت السماء..  وأنا جالس على قارعة الطريق في إنتظار أي عربة..  وكانت تأتي عربة واحدة كل ربع ساعة، قد تكون ملاكي أو عربة نقل أو غيره..  ولم يكن هناك أي نور يظهر من أي مكان، والشوارع بالطبع في تلك الأماكن لا يوجد فيها حتى عواميد إنارة.. 

 

I started walking, without finding anything..  But all the Ethiopians I met there did point to the same direction! !بدأت في السير، بدون أن أجد أشي شيء..  ولكن جميع الأحباش أشاروا إلى نفس الاتجاه   6: 22 pm (walking for about 4:30 hours!) الساعة السادسة و 22 دقيقة، بعد سير أربعة ساعات ونصف   Sunset is coming!  !الغروب بدأ   6:33 pm, the sun is nearly gone! بعد عشرة دقائق، والشمس على وشك المغيب   Finally I reached the road at 6:49 (after walking for 5 hours)!!! !!!وأخيراً وصلت إلى الطريق الساعة السابعة إلا عشرة مساء، بعد سير خمسة ساعات   Getting darker  بدأت تظلم أكثر   And there were no cars passing by! !ولم يكن هناك أي عربات تعبر الطريق   7:08 pm  السابعة و ثمانية دقائق   Two trees at 7:26 pm...  And thank God I found a car back to Addis Abeba after less than 30 minutes from that time.. ..شجرتان الساعة السابعة والنصف...  أحمد الله أننا وجدنا عربة تعود بنا إلى أديس أبابا بعد أقل من نصف ساعة من هذا الوقت
